Cuyuni-Mazaruni Region
The Cuyuni-Mazaruni region (see map) is Guyana's westernmost region, bordering the Barima-Waini region to the north; Pomeroon-Supenaam region to the northeast; Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region to the east; Upper Demerara-Berbice region to the southeast; Potaro-Siparuni region and Brazil to the south; and Venezuela to the west.
The capital of Cuyuni-Mazaruni is Bartica, and the region is divided into two Neighborhood Councils: Cuyuni-Mazaruni and Lower Berbice Essequibo.
