Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo Region

The Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo region (see map) resides in the southwest part of the country, bordering the East Berbice-Corentyne region to the east; Brazil to the south and west; and Potaro-Siparuni region to the north.

The capital of Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo is Lethem, and the region is divided into two Neighborhood Councils: Rupununi West and Rewa/Upper Essequibo.
